This new creation is constructed in mixed media on canvas, measuring 80x80cm, with a clear nod to César Manrique and the enchanting island of Lanzarote, located in the Canary Islands.
Manrique's deep-rooted love for his island was his greatest motivation: he fought with heart and soul to preserve the unique nature and culture of Lanzarote, and managed to protect the island from the negative impact of mass tourism. The population still holds him in high esteem for this.
With this work, I try to express that same love and respect. It is a visual ode to a landscape that wants to remain natural, pure, and untouched, just as Manrique intended.
