Del Bosque – Painter of Soul and Colour

Born in 1960 in Sint-Agathe-Berchem, Del Bosque grew up as the youngest of four children in a home where creativity was

quietly revered.

His father, a passionate painter, inspired him early on with his own canvases sowing the seeds of a lifelong artistic journey.

As a child, Del Bosque sometimes joined his parents on intimate coffee visits to Paul Delvaux.

These moments, combined with a growing fascination for visionaries such as Dalí, Miró, Picasso, and Manrique,

left a lasting impression.

Art became his second language. During family travels abroad, museums, galleries, and cultural stops were essential,

shaping his early understanding of both figurative and abstract art.

Over time, Del Bosque developed his own voice as an artist painter and sculptor.

In his studio, he embraces freedom of expression through bold experimentation.

His work blends influences from pop art, art contemporain, and nature-based symbolism.

Using mixed media, he constructs pieces with layered texture, movement, and energy.

Each composition is deliberate a balance of chaos and control, rawness and refinement.

Del Bosque is known for structured yet emotive works that combine strong basic colours, tactile surfaces,

and a deep emotional undercurrent.

His paintings may lean toward abstraction or contain subtle figurative traces, always inviting interpretation and connection.

The influence of Manrique is reflected in his love of pure form, colour, and harmonious contrast.

Dance of the Unseen is a mixed media on 80x80cm canvas. Abstract work inspired by the style of Joan Miró and Manrique, in which playful symbols and organic forms such as stars, eyes and lines move freely on a quiet background.
Areas of color in red, blue, yellow, black and white contrast with the fine, curved black lines that connect the canvas like a visual poem. Each element seems to float in its own rhythm, as if part of a dream language - an inner landscape that balances between playfulness and mystery.

Phases of Life
